Leave this world a little better than you found it.
Baden-Powell’s Last Message (1941)

We take you back to where Robert Baden-Powell, 1st Baron Baden-Powell the founder of the Scouts movement lived from 1939
in Nyeri, his last Home. He had named the Cottage Paxtu and is within the Outspan Hotel in Njeri.

Baden-Powell died on 8 January 1941 and is buried at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Nyeri.

His gravestone bears a circle with a dot in the centre “ʘ”, which is the trail sign for “Going home”, or “I have gone home”:

When his wife Olave died in UK, her ashes were sent to Kenya and interred beside her husband.

Kenya has declared Baden-Powell’s grave a national monument.

We take you on a Tour to Visit the starting of the Scouting Movement and you can meet with local Scouting fellows or Girl Guiding sisters.

We assist you to get the right contacts.
