Registration of Marriage by Special License<\/strong><\/p>\n (S. 33 of the Marriage Act, 2014)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Registrar of Marriages may dispense with notice requirement under the Marriage Act, 2014<\/em> where there is sufficient reason to do so supported by requisite documents. The license is issued at the discretion of the Registrar who must confirm that:<\/p>\n \n<\/p> A special license applies to Civil, Christian and Hindu marriages where:<\/p>\n \n<\/p> Please ensure all documents are reading all same\/ correct names. To avoid rejection from Registrar.<\/strong><\/p>\n – Passport<\/strong><\/p>\n – ID Card<\/strong><\/p>\n – Birth Certificate<\/strong><\/p>\n – Impediment<\/strong><\/p>\n – Flight Ticket<\/strong><\/p>\n – Affidavit<\/strong><\/p>\n – Chief\u2019s letter<\/strong><\/p>\n \n<\/p> How to apply for the marriage:<\/strong><\/p>\n -Fill the Form (Groom is always the applicant) <\/strong>https:\/\/www.ecitizen.go.ke<\/a> <\/p>\n -Upload the required documents (some PDF\/ some word \/ very small size<\/p>\n -Print the application, both parties to sign and upload.
