{"id":6048,"date":"2021-08-09T13:43:13","date_gmt":"2021-08-09T11:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lofty-tours.com\/?page_id=6048"},"modified":"2022-07-08T15:06:01","modified_gmt":"2022-07-08T13:06:01","slug":"sustainability-policy","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lofty-tours.com\/en\/kontakt\/sustainability-policy\/","title":{"rendered":"Sustainability Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Team of<\/p>\n<p>Lofty Tours &amp; Safaris&nbsp; &#8211; VALENTIN INVESTMENT CO (Msa) Ltd<\/p>\n<p>is committed to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To have an appointed employee who is responsible for sustainability coordinator tasks.<\/li>\n<li>To have a mission statement that is communicated to staff and customers.<\/li>\n<li>To have a sustainability action plan with clear targets, actions, measures, responsibilities, and time planning.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that all staff are fully aware of our Sustainability Policy and are committed to implementing and improving it.<\/li>\n<li>To have first aid sets and trained staff available at all relevant locations.<\/li>\n<li>To provide periodic guidance and training for employees on roles, rights and responsibilities regarding health and safety issues.<\/li>\n<li>To create opportunities for students in participating in traineeship \/ internship \/ apprenticeship.<\/li>\n<li>To encourage employment opportunities for persons with special needs.<\/li>\n<li>Favour the purchase of sustainable goods and services, office, giveaways, and merchandise.<\/li>\n<li>Purchase products in bulk, to reduce the amount of packaging materials.<\/li>\n<li>Implement measurements to reduce brochure wastage or an &#8216;internet only&#8217; policy.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce \/ Reuse \/ Recycle waste materials e.g., use bio-degradable products printing papers &#8211; use both sides\/ blank side for notes.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid the use of paper wherever possible e.g., use emails which are easy to track.<\/li>\n<li>Support CSR programs by giving away equipment that is no longer in use. e.g., Computers, tables, chairs etc.<\/li>\n<li>Purchase products with lower environmental impact. e.g., environmentally safe soaps and detergents (Hand wash, Jik and vim).<\/li>\n<li>Avoid unnecessary travel by making use of video calls, for conferences\/meetings use webinar \/zoom \/ Skype or work-at-home policy.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage employees to use public transport or sustainable means of transport. e.g., bicycles.<\/li>\n<li>Turning off lights when not in use\/ use led lamps instead of overhead lighting \/put notices as reminders.<\/li>\n<li>Green up your environment by choosing space with plenty of natural light to cut out on energy usage.<\/li>\n<li>Have indoor plants to improve the air quality.<\/li>\n<li>Purchase products in bulk to reduce the amount of packaging materials.<\/li>\n<li>Use lead free and water-based paints, both inside and outside the facility.<\/li>\n<li>Advising guests on behaviour standards during excursions and activities with a focus on respecting the local culture, nature, and environment.<\/li>\n<li>Not offering any excursions that harm humans, animals, plants, natural resources such as water and energy, or which are socially and culturally unacceptable.<\/li>\n<li>Having skilled and\/or certified guides to guide our guests in sensitive cultural sites, heritage sites, or ecologically sensitive destinations.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that customer privacy is not compromised.<\/li>\n<li>Keep a contact person and a telephone number permanently available for emergency situations.<\/li>\n<li>Encourage clients to donate to local charity and sustainable initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Have clear procedures in case of complaints from clients.<\/li>\n<li>Use of efficient engines which maintenance is done regularly and cause less pollution.<\/li>\n<li>Co2 emissions \u2013 funded carbon dioxide saving projects through tree planting initiatives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For questions and remarks related to our Sustainability\/CSR policies,<\/p>\n<p>please contact&nbsp; LOFTY (A) LOFTY &#8211; TOURS.com<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Team of Lofty Tours &amp; Safaris&nbsp; &#8211; VALENTIN INVESTMENT CO (Msa) Ltd is committed to the following: To have an appointed employee who is responsible for sustainability coordinator tasks.
