Che Shale is one of Kenya\u2019s most well-known boutique beach hotel situated on a point between two deserted bays, sheltered by a fringing coral reef and secluded in thousands of coconut trees and lush indigenous vegetation. We have been on the map for 30 years and our guests come back every year for a genuine barefoot luxury relaxation. \n \nAwaiting you: miles of wide empty beaches, stylish accommodations, fresh delicious cuisine, evening bonfires on the beach, and a myriad of activities from deep sea fishing to Kitesurfing just to name a few. \n \nLocation:<\/strong> \nChe Shale is located on the Kenyan coast, we are the only hotel located on our beautiful 5 km bay. We are \na two-hour drive from Mombasa and a twenty-minute drive from Malindi town. You will need a four-wheel \ndrive vehicle for the last three kilometers of sand tracks that lead to Che Shale. If you do not have a fourwheel drive, Che Shale will send a Land Rover to pick you up at the end of the tarmac road. \n \nWe can also arrange for your transport from Mombasa Airport or from Malindi airport. \nDaily Flights run from Nairobi to Malindi with Kenya Airways and Fly540. \n \nAccommodation:<\/strong> \nWhat makes Che Shale so unique is its style. Che Shale was recently renovated and styled by acclaimed \nMilan furniture and interior designer Marzia Chicherretti using local materials and local talent. \nUnder large palm thatched roofs, oversized cushions and comfortable daybeds invite to relaxation. In your \nroom you will find unique furniture carved out of blocks of mango and cedar wood, soft natural colors, \nlarge lamps made out of palm fiber, private verandas with daybeds, open sky outdoor showers and a \ngentle ocean breeze that flows throughout. \n \nChe Shale consists of 5 bandas. Each banda is named after a fish in Swahili. \n \nSongoro: Loft-style, 2 bedroom banda. Accommodates 4 people \n \nSuli Suli: One bedroom banda. Accommodates 2 people \n \nFulusi: One bedroom banda. Accommodates 2 adults, one child \n \nKole Kole: Two bedroom banda. Accommodates 4 adults and 2 children \n \nTewa: Loft-style, one-bedroom banda. Accommodates 2 adults \n \nDining:<\/strong> \nChe Shale Restaurant is known on the Kenya coast for his fresh seafood, grilled meats, home-made pasta \ndishes, tropical fruit platters, fresh-baked bread in safari style tin trunk, and other home-made specialties \nlike seaweed in batter (picked up fresh from our beach), and spicy chili jam. \nYou will find some of the following dishes on our menu this season: Zanzibar style calamari, grilled mixed \nseafood platter, crab and coconut soup, grilled lobsters, fresh catch of the day ceviche, various meats and \nseafood stir-fries, penne crab, spaghetti vongole, Greek salad, passion fruit cream, coconut pudding, and \nmany many more. \n \nActivities:<\/strong> \nWhen you need a break from relaxing and lounging in our tropical paradise, a range of \nactivities and excursions in and around Che Shale and Malindi awaits you.
