Each room is over 100 m² in area, with magnificent views of the surrounding land and a high degree of privacy.

All rooms have private plunge pools, private ensuite open air bathrooms with showers and double sink.

► FACILITIES ►

SpaSaab for world class beauty therapy using Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare products.

Main swimming pool, plus individual plunge pool in each room.

Wireless internet access throughout the lodge.

Hot and cold water throughout the day. Hot water is powered by solar during the day,
and boosted by the generator at night.

► ACTIVITIES ►
Safaris: By vehicle, on foot, by air or by camel (see below).
Game drives at Sasaab take places in the conservancy (night drives are permitted),
or a short drive away in Samburu and Buffalo Springs National Reserves.

On foot, like the Samburu people, experience wildlife and nature one on one.

Morning bird walks, sundowner walks and half-day walks.

By air, Sasaab uses Tropic Air’s two Aerospatial helicopters to take guests on a breathtaking trip around the area.

NB This must be booked in advance.

Camel Riding: Sasaab has five camels at the lodge, looked after by men recruited from the community.

A fun activity – especially for children.

Culture: Conservative by nature, the Samburu still cherish and retain the customs and ceremonies of their ancestors.

We are fortunate at Sasaab to be immersed in Samburu culture and traditions.

The following activities are available:

Manyatta Visit | Market Day | Bush Dinner and Dance (not included in rate)

► WEDDINGS & HONEYMOONS

► Sasaab is well equipped to host weddings. Up to 24 guests can be accommodated at the lodge for a wedding. We recommend that a civil wedding be arranged in the home country, and that a ceremony at Sasaab be the celebratory element.

► CHILDREN ► Children of all ages are welcome at Sasaab.

‐ Kids can spend a few hours with Daudi on the Nature Trail.

They will learn how to make a Samburu bow & arrow, and how to make a
traditional Samburu toothbrush from the toothbrush tree.

‐ Sticky sundowner treats for children roasting marshmallows over the fire.
