Conservation:
Tijara’s commitment to conservation includes a community project to involve the local villagers in planting trees for further use as building or carving materials. This is an ongoing project with trees planting taking place before each rainy season.

Tijara is also closely involved with the local Chief in talking to the local schools about the importance of the reef and its inhabitants and the necessity to protect them.

Approximately 30 minutes driving time from Ukunda Airstrip

Tijara Beach is closed from the 15th April to the 14th June.
